Product Profile

Trimethylamine (TMA) is a tertiary aliphatic amine widely used as an intermediate in the manufacture of choline chloride, ion exchange resins, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, water treatment chemicals, and various specialty chemicals.

It is a colorless, hygroscopic, and flammable compound characterized by a fishy odor at low concentrations and an ammonia-like odor at higher concentrations. At ambient conditions, Trimethylamine exists as a gas and is commonly supplied either as anhydrous liquefied gas under pressure or as a 30% aqueous solution.
